Grandpas Fudge

Yield: 32 Servings

1/4 Cup Unsweetened Cocoa

2 Tablespoon Butter

3/4 Cup Milk

2 Teaspoon Vanilla

2 Cups Sugar

1 Cup Walnuts, Chopped

2 Tablespoon Corn Syrup

 

Mix cocoa, sugar, corn syrup and milk in heavy 3 quart saucepan.
Cook over low heat without stirring until it reaches the soft boil stage (234 degrees).
Add butter but do not stir.
Take off heat and cool to 110 degrees (lukewarm).
Add vanilla and stir without stopping until mixture loses it's glossiness and becomes thick.
Add nuts and stir.
Pour into 8" oiled square pan.
Make markings for cutting the fudge.
When cooled, cut the fudge into squares and serve.
